The Girl Effect is a charity I’ve perlsnaoly worked close with (we do a benefit dinner for them every year) and I have to say that it’s a really great organization that does make a difference, and I’m so glad you’ve chosen to represent it.I’m also happy you emphasized that realizing you’re privileged doesn’t mean feeling guilty about it- it means recognizing it and then using that power to help other people.

And I agree that guilt is not nearly as good a motivator as the feeling of being able to really DO something for others that is meaningful and tangible and empowering — it’s such a reason to have HOPE!!!
