Isn’t it beautiful?? And because there weren’t churches everywhere, they also carved Khachkars, or prayer stones, with crosses cut into them (look on my facebook page to see a photo of them!) and placed them around the countryside, so they could pray at them. Armenians are very reverent — and I think you can see the joy and hope they take in their faith in the blooming cross!
I think this is one of the most beautiful crosses I have ever seen! Honestly have never seen anything like it…love it!
